Zülpich's PM 6 Still Keeping the Lead The PM 6 of Smurfit Kappa Zülpich Papier GmbH AG in Zülpich, Germany, is still the top-performing machine in its class with a single gap former. Even production lines with two gap formers are not able to keep pace with it. The paper machine was taken into operation in 1996 and produces corrugating medium and testliner. It has been equipped with a Voith Paper DuoFormer CFD and the tandem NipcoFlex technology. In 2003, the PM 6 was rebuilt. Since then, the PM achieved top results with more than 10 tons per hour and meter. Production Manager Jochem Meier is very satisfied with the performance of the Voith Paper machine.
