Voith Paper: Successful Start - Three Orders for Voith Paper Air Systems Immediately after the establishment on June 1, 2007, Voith Paper Air Systems received three orders with an order volume of altogether about 1 ½ million euros. Voith Paper Air Systems, the air technology manufacturer for various sectors, is delivering process air technology to Klingele Papierwerke, including steam and condensate system for the Voith boost dryer in the Klingele mill in Weener, Germany. The systems will be integrated into the existing equipment system. At the same time, the existing hood exhaust air concept is optimized by enhancing the exhaust from the main evaporation zone. The process supply air will be heated by the waste heat of the boost dryer. In addition, a two-stage heat recovery for warming up white water and heating water with a capacity of altogether 2,400 kW will be installed in the exhaust of the boost dryer. The textile company Oerlikon Neumag placed the second order with Voith Paper Air Systems. It includes the design and manufacture of a movable, both-way blow duct for cooling of synthetic fibers. The blow duct with a blow range of 7,120 mm is being integrated into an existing spunbonding line. Included in the delivery is the complete supply air duct system, as well as the continuously height-adjustable sliding tubes. The automatically sealing connection system between supply air distribution duct and blow duct allows the customer quick and uncomplicated intervention in the production process. The blow duct itself is divided into four sections, with built-in catchment devices. The segments are equipped with quick-release fasteners and can be individually moved for maintenance purposes. Milchhof Brixen – BRIMI, the sole mozzarella producer in southern Tyrol, Italy, placed the third order. The unripened cheese specialist is among the ten largest mozzarella producers in Italy. Voith Paper Air Systems will deliver a cooling tunnel to Vahrn, near Brixen in southern Tyrol. This order is an additional proof of trust and thus, like the two other orders, a good start for the new division at Voith Paper. In June of this year, Voith Paper Air Systems GmbH & Co. KG started its business operations, based in Bayreuth, Germany. The newly founded company is a subsidiary of Voith Paper in Heidenheim. Voith Paper took over substantial parts, especially the entire technology and product line, from the insolvent Wiessner GmbH. The investment in this company forms the basis for the strategic expansion of the Voith Paper air technology business. As “center of product” (COP), the Bayreuth company is from now on responsible for air technology worldwide at Voith Paper and will also handle vapor and condensate systems. In addition, the “food” division, which is also operated as COP, is part of the strategic corporate concept. Cooling tunnels are produced here that are used in the food industry to gently cool various dairy products more effectively, store them more quickly and preserve them longer. The proven Voith strategy of assuming a leading position in the market with new developments should also lead this division to long-term success. In addition, production processes are to be optimized jointly with the customers. The knowledge of Voith Paper as process supplier is beneficial to Voith Paper Air Systems here. Proven products and systems are also available for the non-woven fabric, textile and tobacco industries, such as belt washers, dust removal and process systems. Climate control of tobacco product lines is an additional main focus. Voith Paper is a corporate division of the Voith Group and is one of the leading partners in the paper industry. Through constant innovations, Voith Paper is optimizing the paper production process. More than a third of the paper produced worldwide is made on Voith Paper machines. Voith is setting the standard in the paper, energy, mobility, and service markets. Established on January 1, 1867, Voith currently has 34,000 employees, € 3.7 billion in sales, and over 250 locations worldwide and is one of the largest family-owned businesses in Europe. Voith is an official partner in the “Germany – Land of Ideas” initiative. |
