Voith Paper: Repeatedly Voith Paper Air Systems succeed in gaining a contract from Japan Tobacco International (JTI) in Trier, Germany. Voith Paper Air Systems again successful at Japan Tobacco International in Trier Repeatedly Voith Paper Air Systems succeed in gaining a contract from Japan Tobacco International (JTI) in Trier, Germany. This contains the whole air conditioning of a pilot plant as well as the adjoining laboratory and office areas. Here, among other things, processes for the treatment of tobacco and the manufacturing of cigarettes are developed and tested. Voith Paper Air Systems is especially pleased in this case because it already is the second large contract which could be gained from the Trier plant within a few months and despite a strong competition. This contract is another step towards a successful cooperation with JTI, the third largest cigarette manufacture in the world, who’s headquarters are located in Tokyo, Japan. As in the first contract the highest demands what reliability, hygiene, energy efficiency and maintenance friendliness is concerned are made. Air conditions such as temperature and air humidity have to be maintained on a constant level all year round. This requires substantial solutions for systems and automations. Assembly and commissioning are planned for the second quarter of 2008. Voith Paper Air Systems is not only able to cover the complete range of ventilation products and the requirements of the paper industry, but is also active in other industries due to its special know-how.
