Voith Turbo: The first ever Maxima and Gravita Run will be held on 9 February from Brunsbüttel to Kiel Unusual Start Into the New Running Season The first ever Maxima and Gravita Run will be held on 9 February from Brunsbüttel to Kiel. 100 runners from Munich, Heidenheim, Aachen, Essen, Salzgitter, Hamburg and even Slovenia, France, Denmark, Italy and the Netherlands have put their name down for the "Ultra Run (100 km) and the Half Marathon along the Kiel Canal. The first runners will start at the River Elbe near Brunsbüttel at 5:00 hours in the morning. The Half Marathon (21.1 km) will kick off at 14:30 hours, five kilometers behind the ferry "Sehestedt" on the north side of the canal just outside Königsförde. All runners head for the same destination: Voith Turbo Lokomotivtechnik in Kiel. The first runners are expected to cross the finishing line by 15:00 hours. The victory ceremony will be performed by the Mayor of Kiel, Mrs. Angelika Volquartz, at approximately 19:00 hours. Voith Turbo Lokomotivtechnik GmbH & Co.
