Voith Paper: On one of the fastest and more challenging LWC paper machines in Europe, NanoPearl M has achieved a runtime duration of 1000 hours - in the critical position 3. NanoPearl M Increases Runtime by 100% On one of the fastest and more challenging LWC paper machines in Europe, NanoPearl M has achieved a runtime duration of 1000 hours - in the critical position 3. All other roll covers ever used in this position were only able to achieve a runtime between 500 and 600 hours. For precautionary purposes, NanoPearl M was removed after 1000 hours and examined via ultrasound. The results revealed that the roll cover was completely fine; evidence of the great potential of NanoPearlM and the possibility of an even longer runtime. The paper mill was totally impressed by the performance of NanoPearl M and ordered two other roll covers. NanoPearl M is Voith Paper Rolls’ new calender roll cover for multinip calenders. It possesses real nanoparticles and was specifically designed to meet the highest demands of nip frequency, linear distributed load and temperature. NanoPearl M not only makes an impression with the achieved lifetime but also with its vibration resistance and wear resistance. Voith Paper is a division of Voith and is one of the leading partners to the paper industry. Voith Paper optimizes the paper production process through constant innovations. More than a third of worldwide paper production is produced on Voith Paper machines. Voith sets standards in paper, energy, mobility and service markets. Founded on January 1, 1867, Voith has a current workforce of 37,000, sales of EUR 4 billion and over 270 locations worldwide. It is one of the largest family-owned enterprises in Europe.
