Lifetime of QualiFlex press sleeve sets new world record in China Using a Voith QualiFlex sleeve on PM 21, Shandong Sun Paper Joint Stock Co. Ltd paper mill in Zhongtian, China managed to set a new world record for nip cycles. The QualiFlex press sleeve was installed on January 17, 2008 on the second position of the Tandem-NipcoFlex press. More than two years later, after 834 days and 368 million nip passes, the QualiFlex QX was finally replaced on April 30, 2010. This long lifetime marks a new world record and proves the superior quality of QualiFlex press sleeves. Hu Qiao Zhong, Production Manager at Sun Paper PM 21 commented: "Beside the incredible long lifetime, the Voith QualiFlex QX showed a constant good dewatering and excellent performance during the complete long run time."
