Active Together! Bridging the Gap with Autism

Voith partnered with NASOM Ipoh, a center under the National Autism Society of Malaysia, dedicated to supporting children with autism. Through initiatives such as Mini Sports Day, creative activities, and facility improvement, Voith employees built meaningful connections with autistic children and their families. These efforts helped promote inclusion, boost confidence, and strengthen community support.

During the Mini Sports Day, Voith employees, children and their parents teamed up for four exciting games. After a cheerful warm-up with dancing and stretching, participants rotated through inclusive sport activities that encouraged movement, communication, and teamwork. Additionally, guided by Voith employees, children designed sport shirts using blowing painting techniques, joined ice-breaking games, and crafted “Make an Earth” artworks. These activities helped build confidence, social skills, and friendships in a supportive environment.

Voith also sponsored the refurbishment of NASOM Ipoh’s facilities. The center was repainted in vibrant colors, essential fixtures such as doors and sanitary fittings were upgraded, and Voith employees carried out a full house cleaning. These improvements created a warmer, safer, and more welcoming space for the children and staff.
