Ladson Youth Organization awarded $2,000 #VoithCares donation
Voith was proud to award a $2,000 #VoithCares donation to Ladson Youth Organization, a nonprofit in Ladson, South Carolina, that empowers youth through sports, promoting health, teamwork, and leadership skills, regardless of economic background. The #VoithCares donation was used by Ladson Youth Organization for needed repairs to a baseball field.
Ladson Youth Organization was nominated for the donation by Lee Smith, a Voith employee who also volunteers as an athletics coordinator and a youth coach for Ladson Youth Organization.
“At the Ladson Youth Organization, youth athletics is about more than winning games – it’s about shaping strong, respectful, and resilient young individuals,” said Lee Smith. “Our coaching philosophy emphasizes learning through experience, including how to accept failure as a valuable part of growth. By providing a safe and structured outlet for young athletes, we create an environment where character is built alongside skill. Sportsmanship is held to the highest standard, and the values our players learn on the field carry into their lives beyond the game.”
