Voith Industrial Services: Voith Industrial Services takes over SIS Skandinavisk Industriservice Process expertise from the north Stuttgart, 5 November 2007-Voith Industrial Services acquires 100-per-cent interest in SIS Skandinavisk Industriservice AS, Ringsted (Denmark). “With this acquisition we are strengthening our position in the Scandinavian market and strategically expanding our competencies in the process industry,” says Markus Glaser-Gallion, member of the management board of Voith Industrial Services Holding GmbH. SIS is a leading provider of technical services for the petrochemical and chemical industry as well as for power plants in Scandinavia. The company has 160 employees and a turnover equivalent to more than 32 mill. euros. Voith Industrial Services, a group division of Voith AG, is a global partner for key industries. The company’s Process Service division provides production-related services such as facility planning, maintenance as well as dis- and reassembling. The Facility Service division offers facility management for clients in Europe, Asia as well as North and South America. “With SIS we have gained an innovative, service-oriented company that ideally complements our portfolio,” says Glaser-Gallion. “Now we can also offer the petrochemical industry cross-border services from a single source.” For SIS, the takeover also means another step towards further success: “We are pleased to have found a strong partner in Voith Industrial Services that will enable us to develop internationally,” emphasises Peter Tolstrup Nissen, CEO of SIS. Voith Industrial Services has already been able to successfully integrate strong brands under one roof: for example, the automotive industry service provider Hörmann Industrietechnik and Premier MSS, an American service specialist for the car industry, were successfully taken over and incorporated in 2006 and 2005 respectively. In total, Voith Industrial Services is present in over 150 locations worldwide. With over 18,800 employees, the company achieved a turnover of around 800 mill. in the fiscal year 2006/2007. Voith AG sets standards in the paper, energy, mobility and service markets. Founded on 1 January 1867, Voith is today one of the biggest family-owned companies in Europe, with 37,100 employees, a turnover of 4.1 bill. euros and over 250 locations worldwide.
