The #VoithCares program
As a company, being socially responsible is in our DNA and is an important part of Voith's corporate culture. Through donations and sponsorships, we support science and research related to sustainable technologies; education for children; and training for adolescents, young adults and those who are disadvantaged. Many of our employees also personally volunteer and contribute their knowledge, energy and time to social projects.
Through the #VoithCares program, the company contributes to nonprofits and projects that our employees are most passionate about! This year, 25 projects or nonprofits, that our employees personally volunteer with, are selected to receive a donation from Voith.
Project eligibility
- This fiscal year, Voith and the Hanns Voith Foundation support 25 selected social projects worldwide with a financial donation.
- This year’s application period starts in July and ends on September 30, 2024. Following the application period, projects will be selected by a committee and the decision will be communicated to the applicants in December.
- Projects should contribute to Voith’s DNA, "sustainable technologies for future generations". Therefore, they must cover at least one of the following focus areas: digitalization, technology, innovation, decarbonization (CO2 reduction, environmental protection), or social purposes.
- Projects must support children, young adults or those who are socially disadvantaged.
- Sports projects will be considered if they support the education of the young generation, but preference will be given to projects that have a strong link to our DNA (see criteria above).
- The project must be one that the Voith employee who is nominating, has personally supported by volunteering time. The applicant needs to be an active Voith employee at the time the donation is made.
- The project must be through an existing nonprofit organization.
- The donation needs to be in accordance with our Donation and Sponsorship Group Directive, i.e., donations to private individuals or political parties are completely excluded.
- The implementation of your project will be financially supported by Voith with a donation of 2,000 EUR (equivalent in local currency).
- In case your project has already received a donation from Voith, this must be indicated in the application process. Please explain why another donation is appropriate and for what purpose.
- Each project will be documented by text and images/video. The organization must also allow Voith to communicate about the selected projects internally in the vip as well as externally on our website and on social media channels such as LinkedIn, Facebook and/or Instagram.
