Dazzling Appearance: Voith and the Oscars®
"Gmund Treasury” is the name of the paper out of which the Oscar envelopes are made. It is produced on paper machine PM 407 by the Gmund paper mill which is situated in the small town with the same name on Lake Tegernsee in Germany. PM 407 has been used starting in 1979 for the production of high-quality paper by the papermakers in Gmund. The machine was originally built by Voith for Züricher Papierfabrik. After a rebuild, it was moved to Lake Tegernsee, from where it will make its contribution to the Academy Awards Oscar also in the future.
