Jan Lüder has served as Chief Executive Officer of Voith Hydro and Member of the Corporate Board of Management of Voith Group since April 1, 2025. Prior to joining Voith, he was Division Head Flow and Member of the Executive Committee at Sulzer AG in Switzerland.
Between 2015 and 2022, Mr. Lüder held various senior management positions at thyssenkrupp, including CEO of the Mining Technologies business unit, CEO Industrial Solutions Asia Pacific, and CEO Asia Pacific, based in Singapore.
From 1995 to 2015, he spent nearly 20 years at Siemens AG, holding international management roles in Metals Technologies, Industrial Solutions, and Power Generation across Asia and Europe.
Jan Lüder holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Berlin.
Martin Ultsch
CFO Voith Hydro
Martin Ultsch is Chief Financial Officer of Voith Hydro. He has been a Member of the Management Board of Voith Hydro since 2025. In this role, he is responsible for Finance, IT and Quality.
In 2018, after returning to Germany, he assumed the role of Head of Voith Global Business Services. His responsibilities included consolidating and managing global administrative processes such as indirect procurement, master data management, accounting and HR services.
From 2013 to 2017, Ultsch served as CFO at Voith Hydro in York, PA, USA, where he further developed the site’s financial strategy and was responsible for controlling, commercial management and compliance.
Over the years, he has held various positions in controlling and, in 2007, took over as Head of Group Division Controlling at Voith Hydro. In this role, he was responsible for planning, forecasting and financial controlling within the Group Division.
He joined Voith in 2000 after gaining initial experience in the finance sector.
Gerhard Bierleutgeb

In 2025, he joined Voith Hydro as Chief Operating Officer and Member of the Board of Management of Voith Hydro, where he now oversees global operations and drives growth strategies.
With a career spanning 30 years, Gerhard Bierleutgeb has an outstanding track record for leading the strategic transformation of organizations in the aviation, energy and construction industries.
Throughout his career, Gerhard has led large-scale, international Engineering, Procurement, Construction & Installation (EPC&I) projects and held C-level executive positions for major multinational organizations. Most recently, as COO & Director at Nikon SLM Solutions, he restructured the global end-to-end value chain and strengthened the customer base.
He holds a postgraduate degree in mechatronics from Johannes Kepler University in Linz, Austria.
Sunil Pandiri
CSO Voith Hydro
Sunil Pandiri joined Voith Hydro as a Member of the Management Board in 2024 where he is responsible for the global Service business.
From 2020 to 2022, he was CEO of the Siemens portfolio company Sykatec GmbH. Following that, he held the position of CEO Region North Europe & Middle East at Siemens Gamesa.
After completing his mechanical engineering studies Bhaskara Sunil Kumar Pandiri (Sunil Pandiri) started his career in 2004 as a project manager at Jindal Steel & Power Ltd in India.
Between 2017 and 2019 he was responsible for the global service business for steam turbines.
In 2006, he joined Siemens and in the following years held various positions in international sales, product management, strategy, operations and general management.
Sunil Pandiri holds an MBA degree from IESE Business School (Spain), a digital diploma from IMD (Switzerland) and completed a Harvard General Management Program (USA).
Andreas Wellmann
President Voith Hydro Projects
Since March 2024 he has been part of the Voith Hydro Management Board as President Projects. In this role, he is responsible for the Group Division's major projects worldwide, including project management, field service and scheduling.
In May 2023, Mr. Wellmann moved to the headquarters in Heidenheim to take over the CEO responsibility in the EMEA region.
In 2017, Andreas Wellmann joined Voith Hydro in Chile as Head of Service. Following that he took over responsibility for the entire region as CEO Voith Hydro South America, based in São Paulo.
After studying business administration in Bradford, Berlin and New York, Andreas Wellmann held various management positions in the field of EPC contracting related to the petrochemical and energy sector, as well as the civil construction industry on an international level.
