Andreas Endters

President & CEO Voith Paper,
Member of the Voith Group Board of Management 

 

Andreas Endters is President & CEO of Voith Paper and Member of the Corporate Board of Management of Voith GmbH & Co. KGag, roles he has held since October 1, 2017.

From September 2024 to March 2025, he additionally assumed the role of Interim Head of Group Executive Management of Voith GmbH & Co. KGaA.

Mr. Endters brings more than three decades of international leadership experience within the Voith Group. He has held senior management positions at Voith Paper and Voith Hydro, including responsibility for the Business Line Projects, the Paper Machines business, and global project execution in the Large Hydro segment.

He began his professional career in 1991 after completing a degree in Industrial Engineering and has held various executive roles within the Voith Group since the mid-1990s.

Andreas Batzer has been CFO and a member of the management board at Voith Paper since March 2025. In this role, he is responsible for the financial strategy and supports the sustainable and innovative development of the company.

Prior to his current role, he served as Senior Vice President and CFO of Voith Turbo Division in the Rail & Marine segment where he was instrumental in the successful restructuring of the Mobility division.

From June 2022 to December 2023, he served as Senior Vice President and CFO of Voith Turbo Mobility Division in Shanghai and Heidenheim, successfully strengthening the company's competitiveness. Prior to that, Batzer served as Managing Director and CFO of Voith Turbo China in Shanghai from 2021 to 2023.

In 2013, Batzer joined Voith Turbo and held various positions in the finance department. After five years in Crailsheim, he moved to Beijing and took over the position of CFO of CRRC Voith Transmission Technology (Beijing) Co. Ltd. He made a significant contribution to the establishment of the joint venture with CRRC in Beijing. 

Batzer started his career at Voith in 2005 as a consultant in corporate development and held several senior finance positions, including CFO at Voith Composites and Voith Materials. He is a graduate of Kettering University in Flint, USA, and Reutlingen University.

Ralf Sorg

Ralf Sorg has been a member of the Board of Management of Voith Paper since October 2022. Since July 2024, he has also taken on the role as President for the Division Projects.

In 2019, he joined Voith Holding as Senior Vice President Group Planning & Controlling and was responsible for Corporate Controlling, Accounting, Investments, and Risk Management. 

2016 he moved to Voith Paper’s operations and headed the products and services business in the EMEA region as Regional President. In 2012, he was appointed CFO of the Products & Services Division.

From 2001 to 2011, he held various positions in finance and accounting at Voith Holding and the Voith Hydro and Voith Paper Group Divisions, with periods abroad in the US, Austria, and the Netherlands.

After successfully completing a commercial apprenticeship and a degree in business administration, Ralf Sorg joined Voith in 2001.

Martin Bassmann

Since July 1, 2024, Martin Bassmann has been a member of the Management Board of Voith Paper and in charge of the Division Fabric & Roll Systems. 

From 2013, he was responsible for the Division Products & Services as Senior Vice President Sales & Marketing EMEA and has been heading the EMEA region in the Division Products & Services since September 2019. In 2010, he was appointed Managing Director and Vice President Sales for Fabrics & Roll Systems Europe. In 2001, he joined Voith as Sales Manager Europe in the Service Division and later in the Rolls division.

After his studies as a Mechanical Engineer, Martin Bassmann worked from 1992 to 2001 as Operations Manager and later Sales Manager Europe in Roll Service for Xerium/Stowe Woodward (now Andritz AG).

Dr. Juergen Abraham

President Voith Paper Products & Services

 

Since April 2019, Dr. Juergen Abraham has been a Member of the Board of Management of Voith Paper. As Digital Business Officer he has been responsible for the Group Division’s internal digitization, e‑commerce and digital products. Since July 2019, he took over the position as President for the Division Products & Services and is furthermore responsible for the Digitalization at Voith Paper.

From 2017, he was responsible for the development of e‑commerce, the service and spare parts portfolio of the Products & Services Division alongside his role as a Member of the Board of Management Products & Services.

In 2007 he took on a leading position at Voith subsidiary SynStrand in North America for a period of three years. This was followed by other roles as Vice President New Business & Research, Senior Vice President Development Fabric & Roll Systems, and Member of the Fabric & Roll Systems Management Team.

He joined the Voith Group in October 2006 as Project Manager Research & Development.

Dr. Juergen Abraham studied chemistry at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg and University of Loughborough and completed his doctorate in nano-reinforced plastics.

Dr. Michael Weiß

Dr. Michael Weiss
 

Since February 2022, Dr. Michael Weiß has been a member of the Management Board of Voith Paper in Heidenheim, in charge of Technology.

As of 2017, he held the position of Vice President New Business & Research with responsibility for the innovation management, simulation department and central laboratory of Voith Paper. 2015 until 2017 he took over the responsibility for the simulation department in Voith Paper's R&D and gradually expanded it. In 2013, he moved in this role to the Ravensburg site, returning to Heidenheim as Senior R&D Manager Simulation in 2015. From October 2012, as Senior R&D Manager Effluent Processes, he led the development of Voith Paper's wastewater technology.

Dr. Weiß joined Voith Paper in Heidenheim as a development engineer in R&D in September 2006.

After graduating with a degree in process engineering from RWTH Aachen University, Dr. Michael Weiß obtained his doctorate in chemical engineering from the University of Oxford, UK, in 2004. Subsequently, he joined Veolia's Water Research Center in France as an Industry-Host Marie Curie Postdoctoral Research Fellow.
