Consisting of a servomotor and an internal gear pump, the DrivAx IPS variable speed pump drive combines energy efficiency with high power density and robustness of hydraulics.

Unlike to conventional, valve-controlled hydraulic systems, the DrivAx IPS offers performance on demand. This means: the volume flow and pressure are regulated by the electric motor and the internal gear pump. In the partial load range and outside the machine cycle, the system can work at reduced speeds or stop. DrivAx IPS not only reduces noise by up to 20 dB(A), but also energy consumption by up to 80%, while minimizing the CO₂-emissions. In addition, the lower average pump speed lowers the oil temperature in the system and minimizes the cost and energy required to cool the hydraulic system. Operators benefit from total operating costs (TCO) reduced by up to 35%. Hydraulic power units and complex piping can be omitted or reduced to a minimum.

Being an extremely fast and productive drive, the self-contained press drive can exert forces of up to 5 000 kN. With intelligent modules that facilitate different speeds, it is particularly aimed at press applications. A light-weight yet high-performance tailor-made drive solution

The servo drive DrivAx CLCP is a self-contained linear axis and is characterized by its four-quadrant internal gear pump and load-adaptive or electric hydraulic gear shifting. Force and position can be controlled through the servo motor and the internal gear pump without using valve technology. The load-dependent switching of the hydraulic transmission reduces the size of the components and lowers procurement and installation costs. The outstanding ratio of power to weight enables robotic applications.

DrivAx PSH Press drives

Productivity and efficiency play an immensely important role in manufacturing companies. This is one reason why servo presses are being used more and more often in forming technology. Voith's innovative PSH press drive gives you a highly flexible drive system that allows you to design your motion sequence and press force in a precise and highly flexible manner. The power transmission in the PSH is hydraulic. Nevertheless, the system is compact and requires considerably less installation space than other drive systems. Furthermore, it operates without conventional valve and control technology. Actively controlled servo pumps generate a volume flow only when needed in the hydraulic system, this reduces the energy consumption of your press by up to 60 percent.
